Privacy policy
Last updated August 25, 2026.
HSA Proof is made by Mount Si Labs LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the HSA Proof iPhone app does with your information.
What the app stores
You choose what to capture: photos or files of receipts, explanations of benefits, invoices, and proof of payment, plus details you type or confirm (provider, date, amount, patient label, category, notes) and any reimbursements you record. These records may include health information, such as a pharmacy or provider name.
Where it is stored
- On your iPhone, in the app's protected storage.
- If you turn on "Sync with my private iCloud", in your private iCloud database. Apple's private CloudKit database is accessible only with your Apple Account. We cannot read it, and it counts against your iCloud storage.
We do not operate servers that receive your records. The app makes no network requests to Mount Si Labs LLC.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected". If you email support, we receive what you send; please do not include receipts. This website sets no cookies and embeds no third-party scripts.
On-device processing
Text recognition and, on supported devices, Apple Intelligence field extraction run on your iPhone. Receipt text is not sent to Mount Si Labs LLC or any third party for processing.
Your choices
- Export: Settings → Export creates a ZIP of everything in the app.
- Delete: Settings → Delete all my data removes every record from the device and, if sync is on, from your private iCloud database. Deleting the app and its iCloud data through iOS Settings has the same effect.
- Sync: turn iCloud sync off at any time; records remain on the device.
Because we never hold your records, we cannot access, correct, export, or delete them for you; the controls above are how those rights are exercised.
Health data
Medical receipts are consumer health data under Washington law. The consumer health data policy describes those records specifically and is published at its own address.
Children
HSA Proof is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
